Alongside some cracking two-for-one deals on certain hops drinks all night, you can also be sure of some grade-A tapas.
We order classics including albondigas (meatballs in a tomato sauce), patatas bravas (of course), padron peppers and gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns). And it’s all delicious.
Everything goes down a storm, but there’s a special mention for two dishes: firstly the flauta de queso – Spanish-style spring rolls stuffed with manchego and mozzarella, with apple salsa. It’s utterly brilliant, and we could easily devour 100 of them.
We also love the ensalada fiesta quinoa, fusing quinoa with avocado, peppers and citrus. It’s delightful, and it literally translates to “quinoa party salad”, which we love even more.
Our only hesitation is that it doesn’t come cheap. Ordering enough dishes to fill up two hungry diners comes in at more than Dhs350, which is steep for tapas.
But, for excellent Spanish food and a lively night out – es muy bueno.
