Where to celebrate St. Patricks Day in Dubai

  • Events

Forget about taking the rocky road to Dublin for St Patricks Day this year, as Dubai is transforming into shamrock city to celebrate Ireland’s special day on Sunday March 17.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate with proper Irish grub or simply want an excuse to wear that green outfit stuffed in the back of your wardrobe, these bars and restaurants have you covered.

Have a gander through the list below, pick a spot and let all the craic begin.

If you’re all about the food from Ireland, Beastro should be on your list. On Sunday March 17, expect a range of Irish-themed snacks to chow down on, including potato skins, colcannon (mashed potato mixed with kale or cabbage), heaps of grilled cheese and to mix things up, lamb tacos. Better yet, those who wear something green on the special day will get a bag of green doughnuts, completely free.
Free donuts (wear something green). Sun Mar 17, noon-10pm. First Central Hotel Suites, Barsha Heights, www.beastrodubai.ae (04 454 4950).

Fibber Magee’s
If you’re wondering where the craic is being had, look no further than Fibber Magee’s Irish celebration. From Thursday March 14 until Sunday March 17, expect live music from The Real Shindig and more, Irish beverages priced at Dhs30 and a daily happy hour. The popular Irish bar will even be throwing a Friday brunch for Dhs63 and will be showing the Six Nations live the entire weekend. Be sure to come dressed in green.

Show off your best Irish party vibes at the sports bar’s special brunch or drunch on Friday March 15 and you may not have to pay a dirham. DJ Pele and the Girders crowd will be on hand to judge a series of fun competitions throughout the day, so make sure you’re well prepared. The two brunches will set you back Dhs249, and will feature Irish classics such as steak and Irish beverage pie, along with Irish lamb stew followed by Irish truffles and a creamy cheesecake. Whatever time of day you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Girders Garden has you covered.
